The US Open Pickleball Championships in Naples: a visitor's guide
The 2027 US Open runs April 17-24 at East Naples Community Park. Here's how tickets, parking and shuttles work, and where visitors can play the rest of the year.

Every April, Naples hosts the US Open Pickleball Championships, one of the biggest pickleball events in the world. The 2026 edition drew more than 55,000 fans and 3,750 players from all 50 states and 53 countries. Most of the matches are free to watch. Here's what to know before you go, plus where to play when the tournament isn't on.
Quick facts
The tournament is held at East Naples Community Park, 3500 Thomasson Drive, Naples, FL 34112. The park has 65 pickleball courts: 6 championship courts and 59 standard courts. The organizer lists the 2027 dates as April 17-24. The 2026 event ran April 11-18, so it usually lands in mid-to-late April.
Dates and prices were checked in October 2026. The 2027 schedule, ticket prices and parking rates weren't posted yet, so the details below are from 2026. Confirm them on the official site before you go.
Tickets: most of it is free
You only need a ticket for matches on the Zing Zang Championship Court. Every other court is free to walk up and watch, pros and amateurs alike.
For 2026, Championship Court tickets went out by lottery. Requests opened February 1 and closed February 5. General admission ran from $10 on the first Saturday to $85 for the final Saturday, with prices rising through the week as the medal matches got closer. Leftover tickets may be sold on-site, space permitting, for $5 extra per ticket. A weekly Premium Bleacher package was $750.
If you want the finals, enter the lottery. If you just want to watch great pickleball, you don't need a ticket at all.
Parking and shuttles
- Parking is $10 a day, or $60 for a weekly pass (2026 rates). It's cashless, so bring a card.
- Two lots: at East Naples Community Park itself, or the offsite lot at Sugden Park a few minutes away.
- Free shuttles run from the parking lots. Parking at the park is limited, so the organizer asks fans to carpool or take the shuttle.
- Coolers are allowed. No glass bottles and no outside alcohol.

Where visitors can play in Naples
Naples is often called the pickleball capital, and there are courts all over town. A few options that welcome visitors:
The tournament's home courts are open year-round, run by the National Pickleball Center. Non-members can drop in to open play for $10 per visit. Courts are grouped by skill: 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 are self-rated, and 4.0+ requires verification through a clinic. Guests can also book a court through CourtsApp up to 3 days ahead, with a $10 per player guest fee. Expect the courts to be taken over by the tournament in April.
A Collier County park at 1895 Veterans Park Drive, the closest public courts to north Naples. The county page doesn't list a pickleball fee, so check at the park office.
Fleischmann Park is a City of Naples park with morning open play; the visitor bureau lists a $5 drop-in. The YMCA of Collier County's North Campus has indoor courts, useful on a rainy day, and the bureau lists a $5 daily fee for non-members. Call ahead to confirm both.
Practice at home first
The Naples Retreat has a private pickleball and basketball court on the property. Your group can warm up, drill dinks or settle a family bracket before driving down to watch the pros, with no court booking and no drop-in fee.
Tips for tournament week
- Go early. Morning parking is easier, and the shuttle lines are shorter.
- Bring sun protection and water. Most courts have little shade, and April afternoons in Naples are warm.
- Watch the official site for the 2027 schedule and the ticket lottery, which in 2026 opened in early February.
- Book your stay early. With tens of thousands of fans in town, April fills up.
Our 2.5-acre home in north Naples has its own pickleball and basketball court, so your group can warm up before heading to the matches. It sleeps 13 in 4 bedrooms, with a saltwater pool and spa for sore legs afterward.
